The National Civics Bee is an annual competition to inspire young Americans to engage in civics and to contribute to their communities. The Kalispell Chamber is working alongside The Mansfield Center to bring this competition to students in western Montana.
Students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grades across the region entered essays into the competition. A pool of judges organized by the US Chamber of Commerce Foundation evaluated student essays and the authors of the top 20 essays from each of Montana’s 3 regions have been invited to their respective regional competitions.
We are proud to facilitating the western regional competition here in Kalispell, scheduled for Saturday, April 25th at Flathead Valley Community College. The top finishers from our western regional competition will advance to the state competition in Helena this summer, and our state winner will travel all the way to Washington, DC to compete on the national stage!
