The 65th Montana legislative session has come to a close. Out of the 1,188 proposed bills a total of 236 bills were signed into law during the Legislative session, with even more awaiting a decision by the Governor. Many of the 2017 legislative results were positive given the belt tightening priorities of the session. A budget passed both chambers that still made critical investments in Montana’s economy while limiting any new spending as a result of the lower than expected revenue.
