Kalispell Development Information
Kalispell has just been ranked the number 1 fastest growing micropolitan city out of 543 in the United States. Flathead County ranked in the top 10% of fastest growing areas across the U.S. for the 25-year period of 1990-2015 and development is still rapidly increasing. With the removal of the century-old railroad tracks, we have seen an unprecedented level of opportunity for developers, investors, and property owners in the core area of Kalispell. The new ParkLine Trail will officially be open July 2022, opening the way for an enhanced walkable community, high-density housing, restaurants, retail, and more.
Historic sites in downtown Kalispell, just steps from the core area, are eagerly awaiting redevelopment, and just three miles north of downtown, the increase in county population and visitation numbers is leading way to rapid development in the Hutton Ranch, Spring Prairie, and Glacier North Town Center properties.
Be a part of a once in a lifetime opportunity to chart the course in the future of our city. The Kalispell Business Improvement District is in the process of creating Vision 2022 and a public relations campaign to plan for downtown over the next three to five years. They want to hear from you! Please take this survey and let them know your thoughts.
