The Kalispell Chamber founded the Manufacturers Alliance in 2013 as a vehicle to inform policymakers, legislators, the public, and the media about manufacturing’s vital leadership role in innovation, job creation, and economic vitality. The Manufacturers Alliance works to encourage policies and activities that support innovation and business success while simultaneously engaging with the Kalispell community to ensure manufacturers have access to the workforce they need. The Kalispell Chamber also assists manufacturers in expanding internationally by being the local organization to provide official Certificates of Origin.
Flathead Manufacturing (MFG) Day is the signature event series for the Manufacturers Alliance, which falls on the first Friday in October, in line with National MFG Day. While Flathead MFG Day is by far the busiest day in a series of manufacturing centered events, there are approximately 30 days full of seminars and luncheons, networking opportunities, site tours of local manufacturers for the public and student groups, and the Flathead Timber Tour.
The Manufacturers Alliance is a regional affiliate of the National Association of Manufacturers and is comprised of all manufacturing members of the Kalispell Chamber.
“Manufacturing offers tremendous career opportunities and supports our quality of life here in the Flathead Valley and across the United States”
